Steuso's poster for Linea 77
If you haven’t heard of Linea 77 I would not suggest looking them up. Its Italian Nu Metal. Or maybe that’s your thing. They do have an album called “Ketchup Suicide”. Anyway whatever, unless you have some Italian hipsters over no one is going to give a shit what band this poster is for because its awesome.

Kevin Tong's Appleseed Cast poster
So I had no idea the Appleseed Cast still existed (whoops). This is a really choice tour poster though. And there’s an art print edition. For some reason this reminds me of the game Fallout 3.
4 colors on 100# white cover paper, signed and numbered edition of 120, 18” x 24” for 25 bucks.

McBess @ Rotofugi
I’m a little late to the game on this as the exhibit opened on the 25th but there’s still a lot of pieces available. The price on a lot of these is pretty steep but the edition sizes are super tiny (5, 10). So its not like when Audrey Kawasaki does a run of 300 (or 3000) for 200 bucks a piece. :X

Mondo's Sucker Punch poster by Ken Taylor
Just announced via Entertainment Weekly, Mondotees will be doing a poster for the upcoming J-Pop sensation: Sucker Punch. I really want to like this movie but then again I really wanted to like Zack Snyder’s version of the Watchmen too… and that movie made me want to punch a baby.
We’re getting two posters both are 24” x 36”, the original (edition of 285, $45):

Electric Wizard print from Steuso
Haven’t heard from Steuso in a while but this new poster for the omnipotent stoner metal group Electric Wizard has got a lot going for it. Namely drug references and skulls and whatnots.
5 colors on heavy natural paper, edition of 70, 50 x 70 (filthy, European) CM for 40 AMERICAN DOLLARS.
Signal Noise "Help Japan" poster
Texting the Red Cross is cool and all but this and Hydro74’s tshirt are really boss and again all the cash money made goes to help Japan (no information on the charity though)

Hydro74's "Army For Japan" tshirt
Joshua Smith (Hydro74) has put up a $20 pre-order for a pretty slick looking tshirt, what’s really excellent though is that 100% of the proceeds go to help folks in Japan via the Salvation Army’s relief efforts.
The Kanji on the shirt translates to “Save World Army”.
Rich Kelly's Vulpes Vulpes
This is sold out (of course) but damn Rich Kelly is continuing to kill it. This print for The Fantastic Mr. Fox is a giclee on soft white cotton stock, 16.5” x 23/5” in an edition of 100.

mcbess on Facebook
For every 1000 likes on Facebook Mcbess is giving away a print. If I had posted this a few days ago it would have been right before the 2000 mark… So now we gotta make it to 3k.

When I stopped blowing all my cash on posters is about the time I stopped getting motivated to update this internet website page. But I paid a whole 10 dollars for this domain name and I’ll be damned if I’m not going to use it! First up is a silly huge post of a bunch of Gigposters.com listings that I’ve been missing

Tyler Stout finishes out Mondo's Star Wars series
Hello again! Its been a long hiatus, and while I contemplate what I want to do with this blog I couldn’t resist posting about this release. Over-all I haven’t really been interested in the Star Wars series that Mondotees has been doing. I think as each artist “inteprets” Star Wars in one way or another it becomes more about their personal style than making a really slick...

Diftype, wonderful giclées
Thanks to posterwhore.com for this one. Diftype has a small collection of some of the most striking giclée prints I’ve ever seen. From the site:
Each Diftype print is created using the Epson Stylys Pro 9900 with SpectroProofer printed on a premium uncoated paper called Magiclée Verona 250 HD. All prints are hand-signed & numbered. The Diftype verification stamp is put on the backside...

Mondotees Update
Haven’t posted about Mondotees in a while, mostly I haven’t caught a release from them before it was long gone. Sort of disappointed with the Star Wars/Trek releases as I feel like those have been sort of lack luster with a few exceptions. However, there are a few prints going onsale tomorrow that look pretty excellent. Particularly a Beetlejuice poster from Rich Kelly (who, at this...

Iain MacArthur @ Phone Booth Gallery
If peacocks became the new trend in prints, replacing owls, I would be totally cool with that. Nothing against owls but the detail that went into this print is stunning. MacArthur also has some originals on sale from the exhibit, previews of those below the cut.

Another Gigposters.com round-up
Whoops! Lack of updates! Don’t know what to say, I’m a shitty blogger? Whatever, as usual the releases have just kept on coming. Here’s a ton of Gigposter’s new arrivals that caught my eye over the past week. In the past I wasn’t doing these sorts of posts but not because I was less lazy, I didn’t want to post stuff that I couldn’t verify for sale....

Charmaine Olivia
This chick has a lot of prints of her work available. Her latest is another in a series of paintings on wood panels. Feathers and Skulls… I love it! She’s really active on various sites like Society6 and Facebook, not too long ago she gave away a print to her Fffffbook followers.

Out of the loop
I recently had an adventure out in San Francisco. I came home to about a million billion poster related blog posts and newsletters that I really didn’t want to sort through. A month later and I’m amazed by the amount of work churned out, 1000+ new posters on Gigposters, nearly 100 new posts on omgposters.com and Creep Machine. The problem with trying to follow the poster scene is...

I can haz frames?
Yesterday I received a huge shipment of frames from American Frame (many thanks to Brad for telling me about them). These were for prints I’ve had sitting around forever because they’re odd sized (or at least not 18x24 or 24x36). I learned that I probably should not have made the matte opening larger than what was suggested as I was pricing the frames out, the matte just barely...

Win a chance to buy a poster!
I guess this is one way to handle an insane amount of demand for a print. Tyler Stout is holding an email lottery for a chance to purchase his poster for the film Let The Right One In. Check the link there for details.
Disqus
I’ve decided to re-enable Disqus for comments. I’ve never understood the reasoning behind Tumblr not allowing comments but its kind of silly, particularly if you’re extremely narcissistic like me and assume people want to comment on your entries. I’m not in love with all the extra crap that Disqus adds but it integrates nicely enough. I’ll appear as...

Arcade Fire tour posters from Burlesque

The back from vacation MEGA update 2k10
So I came home after a week on Topsail Island to about 400 items in Google Reader (best RSS reader in my opinion, it can even generate feeds for sites that don’t have their own). I’m going to distill everything into one mega post because I’m wicked lazy.

Lack of updates
Been sort of dry in the print scene lately, at least for my discerning (skull obsessed) tastes. Mondo had another awesome poster release for the movie Moon (which is great if you haven’t seen it yet). Otherwise I’ve been slammed with work and I’m getting ready to go on a vacation. My only update today I’m conflicted about. On one hand Drew Millward has created an...
