This chick has a lot of prints of her work available. Her latest is another in a series of paintings on wood panels. Feathers and Skulls… I love it! She’s really active on various sites like Society6 and Facebook, not too long ago she gave away a print to her Fffffbook followers.
I’m not sure if these are actually on sale anywhere. Out of the hundreds of posters in the new arrivals area of Gigposters.com these caught the attention of my eyeballs.
Read MoreI recently had an adventure out in San Francisco. I came home to about a million billion poster related blog posts and newsletters that I really didn’t want to sort through. A month later and I’m amazed by the amount of work churned out, 1000+ new posters on Gigposters, nearly 100 new posts on omgposters.com and Creep Machine. The problem with trying to follow the poster scene is that it moves about a mile a minute. I sorted through all the goodies this afternoon though and found some gems I really wish I hadn’t missed.
OMGposters.com recently highlighted some releases available from the Von Scaramouche gallery. Some of these, in particular a print from Martin Ansin, are pretty awesome and they’re all still available for purchase.

Yesterday I received a huge shipment of frames from American Frame (many thanks to Brad for telling me about them). These were for prints I’ve had sitting around forever because they’re odd sized (or at least not 18x24 or 24x36). I learned that I probably should not have made the matte opening larger than what was suggested as I was pricing the frames out, the matte just barely covered the poster edges in most cases. American Frame suggested a two inch border on the matte all around and I changed that to an inch and a half not realizing that the matte’s overall size had not been decreased to compensate. Besides that business the frames are great and the included mounting hardware was super easy to get setup.
Here’s some pictures including Dixie being very helpful.

I guess this is one way to handle an insane amount of demand for a print. Tyler Stout is holding an email lottery for a chance to purchase his poster for the film Let The Right One In. Check the link there for details.
I’ve decided to re-enable Disqus for comments. I’ve never understood the reasoning behind Tumblr not allowing comments but its kind of silly, particularly if you’re extremely narcissistic like me and assume people want to comment on your entries. I’m not in love with all the extra crap that Disqus adds but it integrates nicely enough. I’ll appear as “paperguy” in the comments.
Thanks to OMG posters! for this one. New set of Avett Brothers prints from Ken Taylor will be going up on Postersandtoys.com tomorrow at 2 PM CST. You’ll have a choice of cut sets: edition of 25, three 12” x 24” prints, 50 USD per set or one uncut print of all 3: edition of 25, 24” x 26” for 75 USD.

Print maker David D’Andrea is having a moving sale. For 50 bones plus shipping you get a random selection of 5 of his posters. These are scratch and dent posters but nothing more than slight damage (or maybe no damage at all and the print was just over-run). All are signed, some are also numbered. Some samples of what you might get below. I doubt the Sleep poster will be included but I’m posting it anyway because its awesome. Check his shop to order.

Note to self: Do not EVER try to use Tumblr’s post queue again.
Finally we’ve got some really great prints of a few of my favorite pop culture icons. Particularly Walter Sobchak who would like to remind you that this isn’t ‘Nam, this is bowling and there are rules. All 3 are available from Gallery 1988’s online store.
